Weekend

So - we had a pretty darn good weekend. Nice weather, good walk, fun times with the whole family.

Mostly. On Saturday we went into Noona and Pap Pap's for dinner which started out great. Well, the ride in was terrible - Chelsea HATES the car, but we can't figure out why. Smiles and happy eyes before we get in, screaming til we get out... why?!

Dinner started out well with Leah's 2 favorite dishes that my mom used to make for us in high school - turkey stroganoff and a miracle whip and spice chicken. Then my dad got something stuck in his throat, coughed hard in Dylan's face, scared the bajeezus out of him and it was over from then on.

We ended up having to come home and get everyone to bed. However, it was nice to visit with my parents because they have both been sick for so long. Then Sunday it was so nice we went out for a 20 minute walk, which turned into a 45 minute walk when Leah found $20 in her pocket so we ordered dinner and walked more and picked it up. Summer can't come soon enough.

Also, Caleb has started not sleeping long at naps, and like a freaking ninja shows up at our bedside at 3 AM. "Caleb has to pee," so I take him to pee and put him to bed. He has also started sleeping only until about 6:30 - fine for me, I'm at work - Leah not so much.

We gotta get this figured out! Leah has smacked his butt 2 x now - for the same thing, which we never thought we would have to do. But - he doesn't like it so it has made an impact more than yelling does - which we have stopped. We either ignore, or talk it out, or (with playing in the doors) a butt smack and time out. He is doing great, but we have to understand that a lot of his acting out is for attention and time away from the twins.

We will get it, he will get it, and hopefully life will be ok. Now we just have to make some more money to put them into school! (Working on that by the way - Norlin and 2 other opportunities for me too.)
