Seriously, I need to stop the lag in posting!
New Years Update:
Home: I'm pretty sure things couldn't be any more crazy. The twins are now 15 months almost, and Caleb is 3 and a half! Time flies, but that doesn't mean things aren't hectic. I just wish for less sickness and more cooperation at home from all family members!
Caleb has started school, and his knowledge base and intelligence level continues to expand, although we think the lack of direct attention because of the twins he could be learning more, and have less emotional and disciplinary issues. He does continue to amaze us daily, which makes me a very proud father - we just need to commit more time directly to him. He enjoys reading, playing games, and of course watching Nina & Star bedtime on Sprout.
Dylan is a bully! He takes what he wants, when he wants, and lets you know if he doesn't get it! We are teaching him to be nice, but he seems to be the aggressive one of the bunch. He enjoys animals of all shapes and sizes - particularly kitties. His speech is still behind schedule of Caleb's, but physically he is bigger than everyone at that age! He's 23#s and climbing and growing well - already wearing 18 months gear - and he eats (just not a variety) and sleeps good - except for right now with his teething!
Cheslea is the firecracker. She's into, on, and knows everything. She can climb everything in the house, she eats everything, and is our little peanut and sweet pea. She also doesn't talk much, but more than Dylan. She is tiny upon tiny, literally 18#s or so, and still comfortably fits in 12 month clothes. She is so passive sometimes - then overly demanding others. She lets Dylan take stuff, and actually gives things to everyone - she is very helpful when asked - although we expect she is going to give us fits in the coming years!
Both of the twins' receptive language is impressive. They understand just about everything we tell them or ask them to do - while patience is an issue some times (they are only toddlers!) their understanding and inability to communicate their wants / needs very effectively makes for a frustrating time. Their physical and fine motor skills are improving on a daily basis, and it is fun to see them delight in their new achievements.
Christmas was a blast. Too much crap at our house, but we are making room for things I suppose. I just find it overly commercialized but I guess I better get used to it!
Work is going well. We have 2 trucks running Marcellus Shale fracking sand, and they are doing ok - not nearly as well as we had expected considering the massive amounts of initial delays and costs, but - they are increasing profitability monthly now. We have also leased our entire buildings for 2 years starting in April. Hopefully this client lasts for a good period of time longer - but initial outlook is good!
Hope everyone else is doing well!
