So Leah isn't sleeping. Which in turn means, I am not sleeping. I think the couch is for me tonight - even though I am not in the dog house. So today I have to walk around like a zombie through a couple of meetings - fun times.
So this weekend there is a rally in DC hosted / ran / developed by 300 democratic organizations and the current white house administration. (NOT the Stewart / Colbert rally) According to Glenn Beck it is being run by commies and Marxists. Certainly - there are a lot of organizations involved in the rally that appear to be more towards the socialist point of view - some more blatant than the others (view them here). But meh - as Leah told me, if I listened to a democratic rabble rouser I'd get just as fired up. However I find myself more and more disenfranchised by both party lines - however the tea party doesn't interest me too much either.
I feel like to get elected in today's political arena you must run hard lines for either side - which just doesn't work for me. I am just too controversial a candidate to to ever get elected, most likely. The stupid stuff I did in college (some of on tape), blah blah scandal here and there that would just end my (insert seat) race before it began. Of course, the majority of Americans have done the same thing behind closed doors - but would be totally offended if others did it... sad.
Some day - I will enter the political arena. I am guessing locally, but Leah says no for school board because she wants to keep her job. What are my policies? Oh let's just leave that for another day.
